What data do I collect
When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown on the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam prevention.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Upon submitting a comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on my site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
I am using a WordPress plug-in that records unique page visits, this also sets a cookie with a visit count number that is deleted after you close the browser.
Embedded content from other websites
Posts I make may contain embedded videos from YouTube. Embedded content from other websites behave in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

If you leave a comment on a post, it will remain indefinitely unless manually removed.

When you post a comment, you are required to provide an Email address. If you wish for a comment to be amended or erased, please contact me using the same Email address.

Your data is stored on a little Pentium PC in my closet. Restrictions are in place to prevent unauthorised access/tampering. Geographically, your data is stored in the UK.
